The lesson starts with a discussion of the value of reading and understanding the early Christians. What purpose does this serve and what weight should be given to their writings? We then pick up in Genesis 10 and look at the story of the Tower of Babel, which supplies wisdom and warning to Christians today in building God's Church. We are then introduced to Abraham, who Paul tells us is "the father of all who believe." Abraham will take center stage in our next several lessons.
