About the Illustrations

The illustrations on our website were drawn by Swiss artist and storyteller Annie Vollotton for the Good News Translation of the Bible. We love how these illustrations portray the people in the Bible -- like real, everyday people living everyday lives. Their simplicity and timelessness remind us that the people we read about in Scripture were human just like us and had to choose how to respond to God's work in the world just like we do. We hope that these images will help you to reflect on the biblical story and your place in it. We aren't affiliated with the Good News Translation or the American Bible Society, but we thank them for their generosity in sharing these beautiful illustrations with us.
